The Price to Pay

Our precious natural resources are important. We care about the environment. That's why people should utilize alternative forms of transportation, e.g. bikes, razors, roller skates, unicycles, etc. Why can I buy a car for less than a road bike?

The economic incentives thriving in our current global society are completely skewed. More on this later, or discuss amongst yourselves.

Needs a picture of a pretty flower here. To clean the palate.

More on Bilbo

Apparently the tourism won't be what it has been in recent years. On the North Island there is a working sheep farm of Hobbiton - the actual set of town - two buildings, one facade, which you can see for a mere $150 NZ dollars! Alternately, you may purchase UV activated (Works better with less Ozone) Ultra LOTR glowrings right here in Queenstown! OR, take a river adventure to 'Discover the Rings' or Jeep Safari where they one up the competition with vanity plates of Wargs, B1LB0, P1PP1N, etc.

MY solution: Someone needs to make another Middle Earth novel to film down here.
Suggestions as well as orders for the glowrings are being accepted now!

...for today. But we RE-cap!

-9th day here : 6 canyon descents
-Climbing on schist : Actually Dirty
-41: Number of People Guided
-Nappy : New addition to my harness. No more elastic, instead a black baboon diaper
-0: Number of times I've eaten mutton
-0: Number of times I've gone into McCafe, KFC, Pizza Hut or Starbucks
-Snogging : Less Dirty than it sounds
-3: Minimum number of Lord of the Rings references glimpsed daily.

Rain?

It rained last night. Maybe too much for canyoning, but it did do some dusting.

Bay Area

So much to remember and to finally learn. So many lessons that were taught when I was home out here that could only be fully understood with perspective. 4 more days... Anxiety has waned. Losing the self permits living in the moment, permits embracing the unfolding present.

Look at me!

I'm important, and up 3 hours before I have to leave. Had I left before I went to bed, I could be over halfway to the Bay area by now...

Flights are not faster, just a little cheaper - keeping the racket in line and in place. No pinching with clippers or singeing with matches of the terrorists!
